Mix of SATA and regular hardrives?

Built my first comp a month ago (many thanks to this site in general for that :D) but I had skimped out on the hardrives then and looking to get a new one now.

Currently I got a Intel D865PERL motherboard and have 2 notebook drives with adapters at 20 and 30 gigs so I'm wondering if I could/should buy a 80G SATA drive and use that as a primary in addition to the other 2 which would then function as extra storage space.

Or just get a regular drive and swap out the 20G notebookdrive.

Personally, unless you have newer (ie 5400 or 7200 rpm) laptop drives I would get rid of them or use them for storage. Mixing SATA and PATA is not a problem, I do it in my system and never had an issue.
