So I'm getting ready to put together a new mITX system with these components:

SilverStone Sugo SG05 case
Zotac GeForce 9300 ITX motherboard
Intel Core2Quad Q9550s
8GB DDR2 (two 4GB sticks)
Western Digital 300GB VelociRaptor
Slim SATA DVD burner
Cooler Master GeminII heatsink (passive cooling)
Single 120mm intake fan

Depending on the PSU:
GTX260 Core 216
or
GTS250

The SG05 comes with an 80+ 300W PSU. Will that be enough to power all of the above w/ the GTX260 Core 216?

I'd really like to use the GTX260 Core 216 since I'm running two 1920x1200 resolution monitors. If the SG05's stock PSU isn't enough, I'm looking at trying this PSU:
SilenX 400W Modular SFX PSU

Should I even bother w/ this SilenX PSU since it's not 80+ certified? I know people around here hate SilenX, but this is the highest capacity SFX PSU I could find that's also "modular" which would help alot in this small, cramped system.

I'm pretty sure it's been done.

I'd feel decently fine with a gtx 260 and a dual core, but not a gtx 260 + quad core.

Also that 300W has a lot more power on the 12v rail than that silenX compared to the Wattage. That's really what's more important.

Someone on HardForums seems to have done it by cutting the case frame. Not sure about his power situation though.

The SilenX 400W SFX only has 20A. The FSP used in the SilverStone has around 22.5A combined.

The most powerful +12v output of all SFX PSUs that I'm aware of is the SeaSonic SS-350SFE 350W power supply which has 26A combined +12v.

I own one of these SeaSonic units and have indeed run a GTX 260 on a Core 2 Duo setup using benchmarks like 3DMark06. It ran fine, but the PSU fans did spin up quite a bit so I'm guessing I was pushing the unit near maximum. While it did run, I would NOT be confident in running it that way long term.

Ok so what about his video card?

Gigabyte GV-N250OC-1GI Rev. 2.0
http://www.gigabyte.us/Product...ew.aspx?ProductID=3115

Gigabyte says the card needs:
*Minimum 450W or greater system power supply (with a minimum 12V current rating of 24A)*

The SG05's PSU has:

Combined +12V: 22A / 264W

+12V1
Max A.: 14A
Peak A.: 19A

+12V2
Max A.: 16A
Peak A.: 19A

Is this card still too much (assuming I keep all the other components I listed in the first post)?

I have seen alot of people use 250gts and 4850 in this case with stock powersupply and havent heard of anyone saying it failed. I have the seasonic sfx 350 watt in my system with a Q9550 and 260 gtx 216 and its doing well so far. The fan on the powersupply does speed up under heavy useage but I have gamed with it for hours and not seen any problems.

Jen, so you have a SilverStone SG05 w/ a GTX260-216? What other components are you running in the SG05?

9550 with geminii
2x2 crucial memory
350 watt seasonic sfx with 120 mm hole cut in bottom , cables go out the side of powersupply rather than to the back due to it would interfer with hard drive
640 WD drive
120 gb SSD
260 gtx 216

plan to replace front fan with a slipstream and i have a 80 mm fan over northbridge to help cool this area

OP, I dont know if you already know High ended Power supply for SG05 without modify or not..

Chiefmax MicroATX 450 Watt Power Supply from here which meet the high ended GPU's require PSU watt.. :D

22A +12v. I think the original Silverstone 300W (made by FSP) is 22.5A, so the Chiefmax fails to impress.
