By and large there wouldn’t have been much of a difference imo between Obama and Romney.

So, that's a fantasy within a scenario that never happened to provide any basis of comparison.

Spiffing up Mitt's image a bit, huh?

Gee.... I wonder if Mitt isn't planning a presidential bid in 2020?
And I wonder exactly who it is talking to Mitt because these things never "just happen".
Someone is egging Mitt on to take a stab at it, a run against Trump in 2020.
And that could actually work out, for Mitt.
Heck... I'd vote for Mitt over another 4 years of Donald Trump. Easily.
And I'd bet I'm not the only one.
If Donald Trump is as scary and unhinged as most republicans fear, Mitt would or should be an easy alternative for them.
After all, who else would dare do it?
And as for democrats, they'd probably be more than willing to support Mitt Romney.
Heck.... Democrats would support another four years of GW Bush over another four years of Donald Trump if it came right down to it.

Regardless, no doubt old Mitt is up to something here. And no doubt backed by some very influential powerful republicans that want TRUMP OUT! Period.
Mitt has been around the block a few times, so the onslaught from both Donald Trump and from the media would be second nature.
If republicans are to challenge this Donald Trump maniac, and really want Donald out of office, then they need a challenger that doesn't mind taking the heat.
Someone that has done this before and knows what to expect.
Someone that won't coward at the thought of going head to head against Donald Trump.
Most likely republican challengers simply aren't up to it. They could never take the tweets and the insults and the name calling that Trump would toss at them.
But Mitt could.
After all, what does he have to lose?
And this could be the "out" that so many republicans desperately seek.
Considering the alternative, i.e. another four years of Donald trump insanity.

Romney, like many elite Republicans, is concerned Donnie will permanently hurt the Republican party, but at the same time is elated over the conservative agenda, especially the SC and judicial picks. He's no moderate. Look at Biden who has been recently spouting off crap about cutting SS/Medicare (going back to the Obummer "Grand Bargain"), which would likely involve some idiotic compromise where Republicans scale back part of the tax "reform" and agree to slight incrase of taxation on the rich in exchange for cuts to entitlements. These guys on the Republican side are worse than that.

Biden suggested that the top 1% & .1% don't need SS benefits so theirs should be cut. I don't agree with it, but that's actually what he said. The rest is spin.

Romney better than Trump? The hell you say.

That's like saying a high mileage truck that still runs is better on the work site than the maggot riddled corpse of a draft horse.

Could be Mitt is betting on Trump not being around long, maybe he will try to primary it up and see what happens. Or he could be trying to ease into McCain's old position as lead conservative critic, maybe become a kingmaker in the process. I guess we'll see.

That kind of tweaking/means-testing would not free a lot of money. It would have to hit a lot more people than just the top 1%.

Mitt is a very meh candidate. He would have done fine as president and honestly I’m not sure what differently we would have seen between him and Barry. He let the two quotes mentioned above sink him plus a very lackluster debate.

what if Mitt said that he grabbed women by the pussy? how is it, above anything else, he could say such a thing and not be sunk?

And lot us not pretend that Donald wasn't bathing himself in the very same "sinkable" Mitt quotes day in and day out, and still got elected by 70,000 retards across 3 states.

Mitt just smells blood in the water. The same way we hear murmurings of Hillary giving the Presidency a second shot, likely Mitt is testing the waters as well.

That being said, I do think Trump has awoken something in the country in that we're not just ready for an outsider, but we're ready for a competent outsider as well.

I think the fresher and bolder the candidate in 2020, the better luck they will have. Mitt does not fit that description.

Fuck them both. And every single other GOP politician right down to your local dog catcher.

Romney doesn’t need the crazy Trump base since he’s elected by Mormons who have no overt love of Trump.

He can maybe split the GOP into the insane and less insane wings which is quite frankly what needs to happen.

Trump wants Romney to "Be a TEAM player" for Republicans when he's never shown an ounce of loyalty to anyone.

This just reminds everyone that you aren't a smart person. Stop posting dumbshit like this for your own sake.

From a far right distance... does Ultima Thule look like one object or two?
I imagine it is much the same way with people.
