Seriously, this is one of the worst acceptance speeches I have ever heard.

I think he's playing fine to his audience.

The only criticism I have is that he is still acting like he deserves to be president, not that he will work to be president.
 
Basically it's him addressing the left's attacks with "I like women, I turned everything around, I etc" The smirk smug look is annoying as hell.

Okay, now I guess I'm waiting for something specific about his policy ideas. This is all HUGE promises with no indication how he plans to get anywhere near these lofty goals.
 
When he loses this election the GOP will finally give up on him as a plausible contender for president, stupid idiots, the guy is so guarded and so stoic there's no way he can actually expect to win.

I mean seriously watching this shit makes me think of those church pastor channels early in the mornings on the weekend with shitty broadcasting and SD on HD channels.

I wouldn't go so far as to say he bombed, but certainly wasn't that good and could/should have been much better. I say this as a Republican leaning libertarian who would support a Rockefeller Republican enthusiastically.

Mitt Romney could have gone up there and announced he wears kitten skin condoms while he sodomizes boy scouts and you'd still be in here shilling for him, because, as best I can tell, that is what they pay you for.

I didn't interpret his looks as smug. It looked like he was trying, but failing, to look like a nice warm human being. It was really just very saccharine. He had those people eating out of his hand though, but I don't think they were eating out of his hand as much as them just wanting to be riled up and excited about God only knows what.
 
I found it surprisingly boring, especially through the first two-thirds or so. I listened to most of the speeches for the last couple of days, but I found I kept tuning him out.

It was interesting to hear him advocate for the government playing a key role in bolstering employment. (Though it may be nobody told him that the military is staffed with government employees.) Beyond that, zzzzz.
