im having trouble with this cdrw (16X8X40) it wont open,,,,,i cant even open it wiht the paperclip trick..i just go it..had a bit of trouble installing it and now it wont open. the little green light comes on but nothing. ive updated the ASPI drivers for WINXP and none of the cd recording software programs will recoginize it..sigh..can anyone help?

Could be the rubber band broke inside, I just replaced one on my 56k CDRom.
The door will not open when this happens.
I had to manually pull the tray out.
Put a new one on and it's been running fine since.
