Mitsubishi Lancer.... oh god it will suck....

It is supposed to compete with the Civic, Corolla, Jetta, and Sentra (small compact four-cylinder sedans). Those are pretty much standard features for these sub $20K cars.

I'm pretty sure they will have a special sports version similar to the WRX.

However I never did like the styling of the Lancer EVOs.
 
You gotta realize that the Evo series has a turbo charger on it, and that is where it gets most of it's power.

I do agree with everyone else that that is one FUGLY car.

Good thing I have my pics of the Evo VI on my desk here at work.
 
Just saw the pic of the Lancer.

The back-end has some styling cues from the Sentra. Look at how the rear lights curve..similar to the Sentra.

Also is this the same 2L 4-cyl that was in the older DSMs? Does that mean direct-turbocharger bolt-on?? *booossstttt* *psshhhhhh*
 
wow... it's nothing compared to the japan version w/turbo...
they might as well have kept the mirage.
this thing doesn't even deserve to be in the same class as the old Sentra SE 2.0.

i think the new evo7 is nice. Its not as boxy looking as the previous versions. Anyway what did u expect from a lancer? its just the MIRAGE with a new name.
 
no no, this is not the Lancer EVO that's suppose to come over to compete with the WRX... Mitsubishi just decided they will rename the Mirage to Lancer, maybe in preparation for the EVO coming over...

So in order words, this is simply a Mirage...

Besides, they have these lower end Lancer's in Japan and Asia all this time too... people just tend to focus on the EVO when they hear the Lancer name...
 
actually, I take it back,

in my mind, Lancer = kickass....
but in reality, it should be Lancer EVOLUTION kickass.

Lancer is just a compact car, and shouldn't have high expectation on its performance...

what isn't right is the fact that the OZ rally model still use the same darn engine... at least slap in the Eclipse engine or something....

well, at least it faster than a stock Civic DX,LX,HX (115).... but it still looks so-so, Mirage looks even better.....


Sentra = the better one in its class...
