i was thinking about the intake mainly for better airflow so hopefully better gas mileage. as i'm learning stick better, i keep my RPM's below 3k. Once in a while I will get 1st gear to 3.5-4k and 2nd to the same. yea, i'm guilty...opened it up a few times...but yeah

sorry for the confusion on the EVO bit before

i know i won't get much power. wouldn't care for much either with FWD. Car cost $10k, so thinking of dumping $1k MAYBE during the next year. was wondering though how much HP/torque gains there are with the throttle body and headers...emailed the guys, waiting for reply. oh...and imma get a strut-bar...just for less roll. strut-bar will be a def. buy

if it's not a catback exhaust, don't bother. I've seen just bolt on mufflers dynoed and it's like a 1 hp gain.

CAI usually add like 5 hp but then you have to watch out for puddles and stuff.

if you want other cheap/easy mods, you can try wrapping your exhaust headers and iridium race plugs.

hmmm... how much hp gain if you change headers, exhaust (muffler/pipe/etc), and a cai?

I'd say 10-15 if you're talking about an NA compact 4 banger. Some parts actually cause you to lose power so you have to look into what you're buying. Like the 350Z some rag did an article and they found a catback exhaust added nothing. H/I/E is an expensive way to add power though. Get nitrous. 😀

how about for a 2000 integra ls? right now its stock, but i will be changing the cpu and head to type-r later on, but i want to change the other stuff first (H/I/E). any suggestions?

I'm not really familiar with modding hondas, but that knowledge should be easy to find since Hondas have the biggest aftermarket of any import. Try a search on google for honda/acura specific discussions.

If you're going to do a head swap though, you should look into a port and polish while the head is already floating around.

Ed, I just remembered, if you're talking about a real Type-R head, and not just a GSR head, I think those already had a p&p at the factory. :Q That's supposed to be where the extra 15 HP over the GSR comes from.
