Lately my DLP has been giving me issues. It goes through "fits" where every minute or so the screen will go black (not off, just no picture) for a second or so then come back. Then a minute later it will do the same. After a few cycles like that, it will flash black and stay that way for 6-8 seconds then come back on, but when it comes back on it shows the text for the input source as it might if i switched between sources.

It will continue to cycle on and off like that (both long and short pauses) for anywhere from 5-15 minutes, then it stops and everything is fine. At no point does the TV shut entirely off, make any noticable sounds or clicks, or display any error lights. The bulb is less than 6 months old. Any ideas?

sounds like a handshake issue. I'd call Mitsu of America and open a case with them. Might be something as simple as a firmware update.
