when they get sand in the bikini's can i be there to help them get cleaned up? :D

Besides, they are an insane team. Haven't lost in last 19 tournaments, haven't dropped a set in a the past two olympics, they win 97% of their games! 97%, HOLY HELL!

My SO wanted to know why I have become so interested in beach vollyball?

When has beach vollyball become a sport? It use to be drop-outs and beach bums would play this game on the beach all day. Perhaps hop-scotch and tidley winks will also become an olympic sport someday too. Heck, if they wear bikinis, I'll watch!!

I got all excited at the end when they embraced each other and started hugging in the sand... but it never evolved into the kiss fest I had hoped to see.

See that's the thing. Volleyball has always been a "real" sport, the problem is everyone, especially said drop outs and beach bums, plays the "fake" version. Volleyball is one of those sports that the game actual players play is completely different from the casual version.

haha the suits seemed to be thicker at certain areas....damnit!

Gosh, who would have the foresight to think that a bikini might get wet and take steps to avoid it being see-through? Damn psychics, ruining things.

Thats actually chemistry

even indoor volleyball is great, watching the fake spikes and stuff is crazy

The indoor players his the ball so hard, TV doesn't do it justice.

A guy that went to my high school before I got there ended up starring at Ohio State and eventually played for Team USA (not in the olympics though, didn't try out). He hit the ball so hard that it would literally split open at the seams. He came to one of our practices...good god, player defense against that guy was one of the most frightening experiences of my life, haha

will watch again!

QFT....great game and the rain made it that much greater!!! I think the US team adjusted to the rain much better. The Chinese were crazy sloppy.

I liked Karch's comment towards the end when the Chinese girl hit it over in one..."that was just a terrible decision, and Misty made them pay. I would expect to see a move like that in 6th grade, not the Olympics"

christ guys, why don't you just watch the match on nbcolympics.com? I know you have to install the Silverlight player, but the quality is actually pretty good.

Here is the link to the full game. It was 50 minutes. And you can watch it in all of it's goodness! http://www.nbcolympics.com/vid...eoid=0821_HD_BVW_EN165

Also, Its the official video, so there is no pirating going on here!
