I've posted in a few other places but could someone give me a run down of all the events or tell me what I'm missing?

Wilson is driving and spots Brown then notices that he matches a robbery suspect. He stops his car cutting off Brown. Somehow a struggle ensues with Brown on the outside of the car and Wilson on the inside over Wilson's gun.

During the struggle Brown's hand is shot and he runs away. Wilson gets out in pursuit and eventually catches up facing Brown. Wilson shoots Brown when he runs at him OR Brown raised his hands and then Wilson shot him.

Is this essentially the story?

Not at the very first moment of encounter. Wilson stopped to ask Brown to get off the street because Brown and another the guy were walking on the street. Wilson said in the interview with George S. of ABC News that if Brown and his friend were on the sidewalk, Wilson would be on his way to a restaurant for lunch and that day would be like any other typical day.

I still have zero element of doubt that officer Wilson felt that his life was in jeopardy and survival instincts took over his psyche. He did what his instincts and training told him to do....stop the attack, stop that man. At that point the color of the man would not have mattered, only the events unfolding. It's easy to say things from the comfort of a chair, in front of a computer, but as I envision putting myself into that scenario, I would have had no choice but to do exactly what officer Wilson did. Maybe, had he had other officers on hand to back him up, the outcome may have been different. It is what it is and it was what it was.

This is basic Geopolitics 101:

When something 'bad' or unseemly happens in your rival's nation, you play it up for all its worth as proof of their wrong-headed ways and your superiority.

Ferguson is a blip of a blip on the radar screen of events in the geopolitical stage between the US and its rivals.
There's an immense amount of irony, of course, of Russia complaining about "racism", and North Korea worried about 'human rights', which is roughly the equivalent of the SS expressing concern over racial and religious freedom abroad, but the propaganda machines will roll forward either way.

It's all a show, it's pure schadenfreude at its finest, and it will be forgotten on the world stage in a few weeks.

It may be a blip, but it's enough to tell the activists here that someone is listening, someone is not ignoring them, and it encourages even more bad behavior.

Putin & Kim Jong Un, don't care about. But the U.N.? It encourages more people to continue recreating the situation that occurred after the shooting.

Laws are just. And these situations are decided upon based on laws. Legally this police officer did no wrong. Brown was nothing more than a trash thug. Be it death by cop, death by homeowner, death by store clerk he's assaulting...... The thug was destined to be 6ft under.


I just wish the slack jawed thugs would stop burning down their own city.

It's so embarrassing for them and society as a whole.

NK being worried about "human rights" is absolutely no different that the people burning down ferguson in the name of "human rights". They don't care about human rights, they care about violence and destruction.
