No doubt - never said GZ was a saint and I probably wouldn't be friends with him, although I think that some of what he has been treated a bit unfairly (GF thing) since people know what they can do to yank him, and the cops, around.

However, I think it's ridiculous for people like the woman who wrote the article, to simplify it down to "ohh our poor kids" when, in fact, he wasn't some innocent child gunned down, he was a fighting thug with a chip on his shoulder. Brown knocked up a store and bullied somebody minutes before. So what does that say?

Even now, you have jackasses like CitizenKain trying to overlook the fact that these kids were troubled. But ohhh no, it's everybody else's fault. Even after everything we found out about Trayvon after the fact, people *STILL* stick to the same "he was a kid" narrative. What the fuck is wrong with people? A goddamn PR expert spun this shit from the beginning, choosing, intentionally, a very old "kid like" picture to spin the shit form the beginning. And then Ben Crump tears it down to race (he started it), lies that GZ was charged with racism (he wasn't), and then spins the whole fucking thing to "well, the defense made this about race" a fucking year after he made it about race.

Enough of this bullshit.

Can't be true. It would mean that this "kid" wouldn't be perfect.

We've known he has had a juvy record for a while, just not what was in it. We have known he was probably a gang member for a while, given some of the pictures out there.

But nope, just an innocent kid out taking a stroll...after robbing a place.

orly? his juvenile records haven't been released, are you psychic or something? Please enlighten me on how you know he has a record, you should probably change "known" to "assumed" I'm sure you're foaming at the mouth like Investigative journalist Charles C. Johnson who filed a lawsuit for the release of Michael Brown's juvenile criminal record, should one exist*

GZ is a known bully, his past prior to Martin and what he's done since. He's a known hot head who wants to push people around. Is there proof in the sense of a video of him pushing Trayvon around? Of course not. Just like there's not any proof that Brown has a record and tried to kill people. But that doesn't stop the Spidey bunch from running with it. At least with my accusation there is some legimit proof that Georgie has a serious anger problem. So I'm adding 2+2 together.

Charged doesn't mean convicted.

I think it's nuts, but there it is on paper.

Given his manner in robbing the store, I'm sure it was not his first time.
I suspect he does have some sort of juvy record.

I would think if he had been charged with murder 2, we would have heard about it. Someone would have talked because the people who live around him would know.

There isn't a single shred of proof that GZ tried to bully TM. In fact, we have far more proof that TM went out of his way to confront GZ. In that he was home and decided to go back out and get him.

GZ may or may not have an anger problem, but unfortunately all the proof of that trial showed that TM had the anger problem on that day.

Why not ignore someone if they are annoying you?

Interview on CNN that outlines a pretty big problem, and Sunny does a great job of outlining and presenting the double standards being used in the case. She like others, is just too prideful, dumb, or emotionally invested to realize what she's actually a part of and representing.

It begs the question if she just realizes this chosen tact is her only available option to get paid off on this tragedy. Would there be money in this if she took any other viewpoint and is it really believable that she's given her honest opinion in that video? She's so utterly destroyed there, she has to reflect and say "hmm, I guess I really am the one who is being racist and rushing to judgement and using double standards to make an argument about what is happening."

Where is Ben Carson as a strong, intelligent and successful black man to opine and give some reasonable articulation of the issue?

CNN has to be conscious of what's it doing by giving voices to people like Sunny. Keep the racism chant going, foster a divide through that racism, and keep ratings sky high at the expense of credible reasoned articulation of the issue.

lawyers are subject to rushing bias or rushed decisions as well...I know I have one in my FB feed that almost immediately called the shooting "unjustified", even based on NO facts whatsoever. It was such an armchair decision it was almost embarrassing to see. Add in the slow trickle of leaked info....it's getting pretty obvious this is a very very complicated situation that went down and NOBODY should rush to anything.

Sonny (Sunny?sp) was obviously biased and refused to accept that...why, I don't know, but clearly she didn't WANT to get it.
 
What's most saddening is people like Sunny who get all angry, rush to judgment, then claim all they want is justice.

It's basically saying that no one else is interested in justice. White people are not interested in justice, we want corrupt cops oppressing blacks.

The smart white people understand that if a cop is corrupt and is oppressing blacks, chances are great he will be unjust and oppressive to white people too when given the opportunity. There is no racial gain in protecting such people.

The black communities should know all too well the problems associated with rushing to judgments, rushing to convictions. That's how too many black people would up undeservedly in prison.

But now that it's an opportunity to rush to judgment against a white person, suddenly it's okay now and it's something that those who cry for justice believes it earns them a higher place in the world?

This case reminds me a lot of the Zimmerman case, the witnesses who made media rounds speaking about what they saw/thought they saw or heard were shown to be wrong in the end. The witness that unknowingly was recorded reminds me of John who's statement of what occurred just prior to the shot being fired killing Trayvon was shown to be the case. I have to wonder if in the end we will see that's what happens in this case as well.
