Straight from the trailer park, its Jay5.

Cops are people too, and every now and then, a cop will shoot an unarmed black kid.

Do we shoot unarmed white kids?

But you can whisper to your folk...

There's this white guy... he tells me there is NOT A PLAN to kill all the n words.

I know of plots to kill a few of the above words, especially nabobess, but I'm be pretty surprised if there were plots to kill all the n-words. I know of no such intentions.

Let break the situation down to the basics for a recap of the situation...

(1) guy robs a gas station and gets away with stolen merchandise
(2) police officer stops said guy, something happens, guy ends up shot dead
(3) some in the community rally in support of this guy by burning the gas station to the ground (was it the same QuickTrip?)
(4) police bring out the scary looking equipment they own

Everyone in the black community and everyone in the leftist liberal camp, are all pissed off and angry about the "something happens" part and the scary looking equipment part, completely oblivious to the gas station being robbed part and the subsequently burned to the ground part...

I'm angry dammit! I've got my rage on! RESPECT ME! I WILL NOT BE IGNORED! RESPECT ME!

Now the family and family lawyers are saying the police is trying to "character assassination" of MB. What? Was he the one on the video of the robbery or not? Yes or No.

Ok so on the one hand we've got:

  • A probable strong arm robber who may have assaulted a cop
  • A riot where some members looted

Vs a police department that:

  • May have had an officer shoot an unarmed suspect who was surrendering.
  • Used more military gear on its protesters than we used in Bagdad
  • Fired tear gas at journalist and citizens.
  • Arrested journalists
  • Arrested local political leaders

Is it just me or does Browns alleged robbery in no way exonerate the behavior of this police department.

When your entire job is "keeping the peace" and all it would have taken to prevent a riot was what every other police department does on a regular basis:

Person X was shot today by police after being stopped for questioning. The victim may have allegedly been involved in robbery that took place minutes earlier, a block over. Officer Y has been placed on administrative leave pending a full investigation.

Yet you don't release that information. You'reincompetent. When the narrative that is released says, "Racist cop shoots innocent unarmed teen." And you still don't release that statement you're incompetent

When you try to control the narrative by shooting journalists in the face with tear gas and arresting politicians. You're incompetent and over then line.

Finally when the President of the United States has to get on national tv and say I'm sending in the FBI and DOJ to figure out WTF is going on, you are so incompetent as to be fired on the spot.

But maybe that's just me.

But instead the populace got what looks like a coverup

IIRC, the last 4 were not the Ferguson PD, but the St Louis County PD.

There is a specific exemption for civilian riot control in the Geneva Convention, allowing the use of CS gas. CS Gas is banned for wartime offensive use. So it's entirely normal to have used more of it during a riot than during a war.

That implies a connection between the robbery and the shooting, which would be false. There is no connection.

To have released that, before the investigations had finished, would have been a PR disaster, and made things worse, imo.

I'm aware of the ludicrous fact that it's illegal to use CS gas in war but fine to use it on civilians.

That wasn't my point.

My point is those in charge of this debacle on both the local and county PD amped the incompetency up to 11. They have utterly failed in their jobs.

I don't know if they are actually just that incompetent or maybe they just have so little respect for their community that they said, "fuck those guys and fuck the media too."

Could you imagine fucking up in your job so thoroughly that national and world papers picked up on it, your own management won't answer questions about you and your CEO says he's sending in a task force to clean up your mess. Somehow I think for most of us that would mean a little more than being knocked to down to "Meets Expectations" on our next performance appraisal.

Quite honestly there probably is a connection between the shooting and robbery.

What do you think the over/under is on him having been high?

Those were typical knee-jerk reactions to the rioting and the cry of racism and political pressure.

Investigations of homicides take time. When a police officer is involved, they take even more time. When race hustlers hype up the crowd, you have to be really careful with your investigation and your reports.

One week is not unreasonable for a preliminary report on this case, imo.

It seems like the robbery and his death were just a few minutes apart.

Unless he was already high, I don't think he had time.

One thing is for sure, imo. Big Mike Brown was used to robbing people. That was not his first time strong-arming, imo.

If the toxicology reports show that he was on lean or the like, or whatever, it would reinforce the cop's story.

That could very well be true. I don't think you get to say that one thing is for sure that MB was used to robbing people until we find out actually for sure.
