Hello I bought my son a Plextor 12/10/32 cdrw for christmas and now comes the hard part. Backing up the $50 programs that I have bought in the past and in the future. Most of his game are Play Station but I'm trying to get him to use more computer games they seem to be a little less expensive. I also bought a Mod chip for his play station and I'm going to get a friend at work to install the chip this so I use the back ups off his games. His latest game is Mission Imposible II. The plextor comes with it's own s/w and it also come with Adaptec 4.02. So my question is which program might be better at making a back up copying of this game. And can any one give me some of the basic first steps in which program they feel will have a better chance of doing this. I'm not a person that does not read help file, because i do and i would just like to from others what has worked best for them ? thanks and i hope you have a good new year

Clone CD.

Id recommend two programs to making a exact copy. Im not too sure about Playstations, but you could search in google for that.

1) Clone CD
2) Copyright Protection Detector 0.6 - Search through the review to find it


I, first open Copyright Detector to find out what protection is used, that, the setting to make the correct copy can be mapped to Clone CD. I then copy from Clone CD. Voila, a perfect copy.

Hay thanks I'm at work and on a proxy so I can not use the links you provided, but will copy and check out this evening. Like they say most things free are not up to the task. I refer to the s/w that came with the plextor. It seems that it's just fair for making music cd's or backing up files off the h/d. Also does anyone know of a good gamer bbs forum that I could check out. I have been to a place called game copy world and it's hard to figure out which page is best for my needs. ( it has so many mirrored sites to it) and I did not see alot of post to indicate that alot of people use it. But more than likley i just have not searched the site much. Thanks for the advice, and I will check back later when I get home.

Ok I will check out the other software, but in the mean time is the hard part not making a back up copy of the play station mission imposible game cd but the later part of of fooling the game console that it is a back up copy being put in it? And In the mean time do you have any recomendations of which adaptec program to use? thanks.?
