I have a 2004 Honda VFR800 motorcycle that's been in the garage for about 5 years as my job took me away from home 85% of the time and I just couldn't find the time to get it back on the road. The biggest problem was that I somehow managed to loose the title for the bike and I have no idea how to go about getting it re-registered without the title or getting a new title issued.
I bought the bike in 2004 in Florida with cash so they sent me the title not long thereafter. I then moved away from Florida and now live in Utah. I had the title for a while but I remember doing a document purge a few years ago and must have mistakenly tossed the title. As I remember I'd made two piles with one to keep and one to toss and a guess I must have put the title in the toss pile by mistake.
Interestingly, I was going through some old picture from 2007 and found 3 pictures of my Florida license and 3 of my bike title -- I wonder if the photos of them would be helpful in getting a new title issued.
So, any tips on how to get a new title issued...
