COLUMBUS, Ohio—Fans of White Castle's oniony hamburgers have a new way to indulge without any calorie guilt: a scented candle infused with the burgers' aroma.


The Columbus, Ohio-based fast-food chain this week introduced candles that smell like its Slider burgers in a promotion with Autism Speaks. Proceeds from the sale of the $10 candles will benefit the New York-based charity.
The candles resemble a packaged White Castle burger and are being sold at the company's restaurants and on its website. The wax is encased in a ceramic holder that looks like a Slider's cardboard sleeve.
 
I don't care much for autism speaks; they treat autism like some plague to be feared instead of a different kind of mind to be brought-into the fold of humanity.

Last time I had white-castle I was starting a 26 hour buss ride to the bottom of south Texas from Indianapolis... btw, gray-hound to gen-con = dumb-as-shit-idea add white-castle and.. well you can guess.
 
White castle burgers are a guilty pleasure.

I like to smell them only if I can eat a case, not if it's a candle. That's too much of a tease.

well... considering that White Castle was founded in 1921... i think they originated the term... so they have every right to use it.

Next, someone's going to sue White Castle because their candles make them hungry and their sliders make them fat.
 
Whenever I walk into a white castle, the smell makes me sick. I don't think I would like a greasy steak-umm smell in a candle.
