Alright, fine. I conceed. We should all go out and for a search party for this poor girl. This thread should be stickied so everyone can participate.

That is what's normally done when someone disappears.

I don't see any indication that she was doing anything wrong. Even if she WAS drinking (which I think you pulled out of your ass, considering I see no mention of it in either article), the fact that she's missing is a problem.

You're damn lucky I'm not a mod, your troll ass would have been banned a LONG time ago.

Being a d!ck and being unfeeling are 2 different things. You'd know the difference if your daughter was lost and some stranger like an XZERO throws in what he thinks. Your parents did a poor job on you.

Ok, here's my point.

Does ANYONE in this thread even know this person? It doesn't sound like it.

Hundreds of people go missing every day, do we need a thread about each and every one of them? Everyone is saying how sorry they are and how they hope the girl is found, yet no one here even knows her. No one will even remember this later in the day. Everyone will just go about there day like any other day. Do any of you ACTUALLY care if she is found? You say you do, but do you really? Probably not.

I appologize for my earlier posts. They were out of line and I shouldn't have posted them.

You obviously do not go to this campus. For it's size, we tend to have a rather tight knit community. If something bad happened to her, not only will it have directly affected her and her family, but it will also negatively impact the general campus environment. Our campus is rather safe (statistically), and we would like to keep it that way.

Don't click on the thread and don't post in it. Problem solved; everyone's happy.

You might be surprised.

This one hit VERY close to home, both my g/f & my sister are about that age, cute, & blonde. It easily could have been them.

What do you think Megan alerts & things like that are for? Rapid, broad response by the general public is the best way to locate missing people.

any updates on this?

Xzero, way to make yourself look like an 4ss by the way...if you really don't give a rat's A about her, how about not posting anything on it?

Did you go to college? High School for that matter? When something happens to a student, the entire student body is affected - some more than others, but it reaches a great many people.

Yeah, there's only been the occasional lakeshore path stabbing (2-3 years ago), halloween riot, athletic department rape, and now this in recent years. Overall, it actually is a safe campus and I do hope they find this girl safe. Regent apartments.... yeah, there's a reason people party there to trash it but quickly learn to party at other places. I feel sorry for the people who would choose to live there... especially off the courtyard.

Actually the article is poorly written. This is not an article written by someone with journalistic intention.

I'm sorry, Chuck Nowlen (the writer), but your "Seiler said his group would continue to post fliers in other areas of town, in part to keep themselves busy during their agonizing wait." Agonizing? Are you sure? Could you be mistaken about the wait? Could it not be brutal?

Too many adjectives from someone who is supposed to be objective.

btw, yes, I hope the girl is found safe and unharmed.

man, that really sucks. Im gonna sit room and work until i develop a GPS microchip that can be implanted under the skin. oh wait...they already have those.

There will always be people who don't want their personal freedom compromised.

Do you need to know a person before you can empathize? The fact that people go missing everyday is WHY people get upset about these cases. If you don't care to read about missing people then don't click in threads that have 'missing' in the title.

People are expressing CONCERN, not pity.

And yes I care as do most people. Both my wife and I work within a mile of there... I hope this girl is safe and sound somewhere and I hope you find your humanity sometime soon.

I truly am sorry for my earlier posts. They were out of line. I appologize.

Reading this thread has actually opened my eyes to my alternate personality that I take on when I am online. I never realized it until today. I am definatly not like this in real life, so why the heck am I this way online???

I really am sorry and will make every effort to change my attitude here.

Yeah I saw that in the herald today. I know a couple people who live there. Hope they find her...

My ex lives in the Regent. Although we didn't leave on good terms, I'm very relieved it wasn't her.

Umm...we actually did that 6:45 AM this morning. I was visiting some friends in another Lakeshore dorm when one of the missing girls friends came over letting us know about the situation. She was visibly distressed, trying hard to get words out. We all agreed to help comb the Lakeshore path from Memorial Union to Picnic Point. I would say about 50 people showed up, most of whom didn't know the girl.

I went to bed last night thinking what would happen if we found her. What condition would she be in? Where would we find her? How would everyone react. Even though I didn't know her, Audrey's disappearance really touched me. We started searching the path in front of my dorm window. Sure, she didn't live in the dorms, but she had 50 people come and look for her.

God, I hope she is found safe and sound.
