Hello people of anandtech,I had a problem (neglect) trying to place a DIMM SDRAM memory of 168 pins. Apparently he made a short circuit and burn both memory and the socket. I researched and the burned (lost) pins in the socket are exactly the 165 (SA0) and 166 (SA1), the Serial address 1 and Serial address 2. I wonder if these pins influence the workings of memory as i seen cases where there are two or three missing pins and also the memory work, because there is supposedly pins that are not needed or are duplicates that can fulfill the function of the missing pins. Any help? Any hope? Sorry for bad english!
In the links, there is a memory as I have and the diagram that i saw:
