Missing HD Space - WinXP

I installed WinXP Pro on a 3.1 gig hard drive. All the files on the C drive including hidden files are 1.04 GB. I have 972MB free. Where is the other gig of HD space?


The system restore is set to 300MB
IE temp file is located on D:
Trash is set to 0% on C:.

Check in hard disk management to get the rest of it. Someone correct me if im wrong, if no one answers you, try in OS forum.
