Missing floopy drive??

Had new pc running for 2 weeks with no problem then today I turn it on and it shows my A: drive is a 5.25 floppy and not a 3.25.

Running win98, Duron 900 no tweakes Bios is at delault settings.

Any Ideas why it did this, and how to fix. In my device manager it shows a floppy drive controller but no actual drive, even under disk drives it only shows the hard drive.

Boot in to safe mode, go to device manager, remove all the floppy drives in the device manager. Boot to win 98 again (regular mode) windows should reconfigure it self.
