Missing Audio Codec

I have some videos for a presentation that I was working on.

I've had them for a while, had ripped them from vhs to PC using an older Pinnacle video editor.

I've never had an issue with the audio.

I recently reinstalled Windows XP on my laptop, and now the vids play, but there is no audio.

I have no idea what audio codec these use. How can I figure this out??

if your looking for actual info on what the codec is then try mediainfo. Just download it and open the file in MI and it will show you the audio and video codecs and all the info. Then you can either grba the specific codec or do the ffdshow route
