Only a matter of time before it happens. Hopefully they will use the Soviet copy of the Stinger and it will most likely fail.

Yes, the cruise ship is the next big target. You have over 4,000 people at one spot. A couple of little boats packed with explosives and bye-bye cruise ship.

Or the worse threat is the damn bug going around on those things.

These pilots don't know what's going on, they don't have the radar to detect missles coming at them.

They would definatley not react in time.

The only warning to a pilot of this type attack would be if he sees abdullah standing in the weeds with the tube at the outer marker.
 
There were always those rumors that the airline that crashed off Long Island in '96 was shot down by a stinger missle... There just weren't enough witnesses....it was only a theory.

That was TWA Flight 800, and it could not have been hit by a stinger...

Stingers have a ceiling of 10,000ft, that 747 was over 24,000ft when it exploded.

NAFTA and open boarders are going to let things in if they aren't already here. Just think if a crush load 747 drops into a NY or SF downtown hood from one of these things? The shooter only has to get lucky once.
