God I fucking hate Arizona.

Finally heard back from the court, Judge refuses to quash the warrant and I have to appear before the court. All this over some out of state expired tag registration. I'm getting fucked over here. Guess it's time to lawyer up.

How is it their fault? :hmm:

I missed a court date for going 85 in a 65 over the summer. The court was in Needles, CA, which is a shithole on the AZ border. Needless to say, I couldnt make it to that court for an appearance.

I paid an attorney to go to court for me. He got the warrant recalled, and the cop agreed to drop the charge if I pled guilty to speeding next to a camp-site in an offroad vehicle, which carries no points and a small fine. Much better than going 20 over. :)

Edit: Moral of the story, $$$$ will get you out of pretty much anything.

I can't beileve you're blaming the state and court system for your own MULTIPLE fuck ups. I hope they fuck you sideways for this in the hopes you actually learn something. I'm not sure what it'll take for you to realize it's all your own fault, but it must take something massive because you still don't get it.

Yes, thank you sir.

Hopefully you will be able to write/talk your way out of this one. If not, "watch out for your corn hole, bud."

Edit: Just saw your update where the judge won't let you off the hook. Best bet is to eat your pride and go before the judge. Show respect and deference to the court, and ask him to kindly quash the warrant if you pay the fine. Don't be a smart ass, as that will land you in more trouble.

The #1 goal should be to get that warrant off your record. Explaining an arrest (even for your offense) to a potential employer would NOT be fun.

Should have taken care of the registration right after the ticket and then taken care of the ticket.

On this past Monday I got a ticket for operating a vehicle with expired license plates(registration). I went and paid the registration plus the nominal penalty for late registration(20% which amounted to $10.55). Ticket is getting dismissed for another $20.

Since you waited and failed to bother with showing up on or before the appearance date. You are going to pay out the ass, relatively. What could have been a relatively cheap ticket is going to be in the several hundred range now because you are going to have to pay the ticket + whatever applicable penalties.
