Miss California fired!

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,525716,00.html

Less than a month after being told by Donald Trump that she can keep her Miss California crown, Carrie Prejean was fired on Wednesday.

In a release first obtained by FOXNews.com, K2 Productions, the independent producers of the Miss California USA pageant, under license from Miss Universe, cited continued breach of contract issues as the reason for Prejean's firing.

"This was a decision based solely on contract violations," Keith Lewis, executive director of K2 Productions, said in the release. "After our press conference in New York we had hoped we would be able to forge a better working relationship. However, since that time it has become abundantly clear that Carrie has no desire to fulfill her obligations under our contract and work together.?

Prejean came under fire for her answer to a question about gay marriage two months ago in the Trump-owned Miss USA pageant, in which she was the runner-up. After the pageant, Prejean was continuously attacked as she defended her belief that gays and lesbians should not be given the right to marry in California. She became embroiled in more controversy when racy pictures of her were published that some construed as violations of her Miss California contract.

Ill bet Trump had this in mind from the beginning. He loves keeping his name in the news.

Unless the details are provided in terms of what the breach of contract was; this is speculation/gossip mongering.

She's baaaaaaaaaaaaack! And she's suing for discriminatory termination!

Miss California is taking it to the courts this week, according to her suit brought against her former employer, Donald Trump, the Miss America Pageant, gays, the ACLU, and Barack Obama. She seeks unspecified damages. Trump Inc., is countersuing for the cost of Prejean's breast implants which she has refused to return to the pageant.

Lol, you made quite teh funnay! It made me go read the link, which has its own real-life lulz:

Her lawsuit claims they told Prejean to stop mentioning God.

Whut? You mean, as in, "Gawd that girl is dumb!"

being ATOT I thought the story would be she caught fire from the wildfire... Didn't think it would be an actual news item.

Since this thread was resurrected I thought it would be about the release of a porno or candid nude shots.

I was very disappointed.

This is her way to keep her name in the news without the porn or nudes. Once this plays out and she's in danger of becoming anonymous again we'll see the leaked sex tape. Probably her and an inflatable Jesus doll.

She's got a case. Religion is a protected class. I really hope she wins to tell you the truth.

Unfortunately that'll be lost in the circus that this case has turned into.

Wait, you get free implants for entering beauty pageants? So even if you lose, you still win!

Unless you get fired. Then you have to give them back, or let Trump play with them.

Oh hey it's another spidey.txt moment where' you're 100 percent wrong (aka, every single day)

She'll have an extremely hard time to prove it had anything to do with her religious views. If it was, she would have been fired the first time around. Sounds like she wasn't fulfilling her contractual obligations.

she was fired because of failed appearances... They are legally obligated to do those appearances like in malls and stuff.

Yes but she didn't appear because of religious reasons. Right? Er...

Trump stood up and defended her. He defended her statement, her right to say it, and that some people on the left have similar views. He hired her, and he stood by her. She then became a horrible employee and violated her contract terms, so he fired her.

She can cry religious persecution all she wants, I hope they air all the ways she failed to live up to her contract.

Maybe the appearances were scheduled for Sundays?

Here lawsuit alleges differently. You're giving the pagents side, she's giving hers. If she's correct in her allegations and what they told her she's going to win.

My point is, each side has their version of truth. You have already deemed the defendants guilty. I tend to side with defendants in this type of cases.

Even if the allegations were true, I don't see how she can win unless some stupid ass from the company was actually recorded (and knows they were being recorded) saying she is out of the door because of her religious beliefs.
