Wow, that is pretty hot. I'm trying to wait for the 7800 prices to fall just a little bit more, since I'd need a new mobo too.

well folks this deal is too good to be true , I ordered one online and my confirmation reflected an x800 XT but later when I checked my order on their site it said X800 pro.

So I called and explained the situation and they did indeed admit that they were advertising the wrong card and gave me a refund. So if you ordered on you will be getting a pro instead of an XT per their sales dept. 🙁

How can this be the X800 Pro when TD already sells the Connect 3D X800 Pro for $199.99?

Here's the Connect 3D X800 Pro for $199.99 at TD

the one you linked to doesn't have VIVO the one they tried to slide past me does.

Hmmm, I see. Thanks for the explanation.

on connect3d's website for the X800XT

http://www.connect3d.com/products/agp_x800xt.htm
you can see the part number Radeon X800 XT 256mb DDR with DVI-I & VIVO (PART NO.6064)

matches the one on TD's, which is extra lame, since before i ordered i checked online to make sure it wasn't a misprint on the card. This is how it looks only emailed confirmation

Connect 3D Radeon X800 XT / 256MB GDDR3 / AGP 4x/8x / DVI / VGA / VIVO / Video Card (C261-6064 R)

compared to how it looks now online

Connect 3D Radeon X800 Pro / 256MB GDDR3 / AGP 4x/8x / DVI / VGA / VIVO / Video Card Item #: C261-6064 R

6064 matches C3d's part number for the X800XT :

if they didn't cancel i sure hope the guys at the warehouse send me the X800XT :\ :/

yes I see they finally changed the description, and it is really deceiving because the Pro's look exactly like the XT's except that 4 pixel pipes are disabled (which can be enabled at your own risk 🙂).

Although I was able to cancel I am sure I will be haggling for a refund for sometime.
Live and learn I guess.

well they refunded me the money, but still shipped the item, supposed to get here today. should i sent it back? 😱

should you expect them to charge your credit card the full price if you dont? - hmmmmm

the part number listed on the first posted link is still the part number for the XT, so if you're feeling lucky order one.

now i'm thankful for TDs incompetent staff and their inability to cancel my order 😀

My x800 XL Connect3d oem card basically came in retail packaging, just a little smaller. A very nice card overall if you ask me.

I received mine today (ordered it expecting it would be X800 Pro). First of all, I was pretty pissed off when I saw the box as the box was obviously opened previously. When I saw inside the box, the factory seal was also broken. I said f _ c k!!!

Then, I looked at the card, and the label on the card said 'X800 XT'!!! I also realized the box also had a label showing 'XT' instead of pro.

I am mixed on what I have gotten. It's obviously not brand new, although I saw any scratch neither on the connector nor on the back plate. Then, it's XT instead of Pro. Hmmmmm,........

I need to check if it works OK when I get home.

yeah, mine was clearly opened too, but the card seemed blemish free and has run like a champ ever since i got it. i've had ZERO problems, hope you don't have any as well 🙂

congrats, we got lucky 😀

Have you guys received a totally brand new, no one ever touched, factory sealed card?

Edit: You had answered my question before I sent this.

I hope so, I just called Tiger Direct. They insisted that the product was advertised as new, and it must have been a mistake that I received a open item. They issued me an RMA, but I won't be sending it back if they are sending me back another opened one, and it seems that the odds of getting another opened one are pretty high.

As long as it works, I guess it's OK. It's kind of like doing Newegg refurb gamble. My fingers are crossed.

aye, they might send you back a brand new card, but it could be an X800Pro. If it works (and put it under some serious stress) i say keep it

I have installed mine, and it seems to be working fine, so I am going to keep it avoiding a risk of 1) getting another opened one anyway or 2) ending up with a Pro.

After all, it was a good deal.

XT 😀

I think TD labeled the card wrong in their inventory system. The UPC sticker they put on the box says 800 pro on it, but the box says XT and the card shows up as an XT when installed.

My brother ordered one and he also got a XT.

That's pretty hot.

The link is now showing $274.99, only $25 more for a supposed X800 XT. Very tempting and a tough choice between a $275 XT or a $250 XL. I think I might just go with the XL at monarch though.

To make things clear:

The X800XT cards have some part number ending in a -R. Apparently this means refurbed/repaired/returned or some such thinkg. The card is now $249.99 and is readily available (they have a stack of about 15 behind the counter and more in the warehouse).

Chances are the cards were retruned and sent back to connect3d (the one I looked at had a scribble on the pcb - probably testing).

These are fully warrantied cards (24 months) so save the receipt.

Good luck,

EH
