misleading statistics??

anyone have any examples of misleading statistics from recent publications? nytimes.com, forbes, newsweek, PETA, cnn.com???? i need a couple examples of misleading statistics and any help is apprecaited.
 
i had been a bad person, using a differnet account since i lost my password, but when i lost the other one i decided to be smart this time and just have my password sent to me again .... anyway, anyone have anything interesting?

They always say that the rate of world population increase is decreasing. This sounds good, but declining amounts of a bad thing is still a bad thing.
 
98% of post in OT are repost or articles from slashdot. the other 2% are from attention whores. Results may be off by as much as 15%
 
Of all the people that post here, half can't read, half can't write, and the remaining two-thirds can't add up!
 
Only .0003% of the posters looking for statistics are actually asking so they do not have to do their own research. Actually that number is misleading and it is probably around 72.34%.
