I have never built a computer and since i was a kid my parents always bought us computers. LIke once every 3 years or something we would get some new..and it would kick ass and all would be well lol. Anyway i have hd this computer for a while and its pretty old. Once again it am going to do a major upgrade. My video card is now like a Geforce2..it sucks.

Am i under the misconception that getting something kick ass and sticking it with it for as long as possible is the best way to go?

I didnt think reselling Vid cards would get u a lot....

hmm maybe i have to change my strat

what i always seem to do is buy the most expensive card i can afford, and use it for the as long as possible as resell it for anything i can get for it when a new gen card comes out

I think it's better to buy the one in between the price/performance and the high end and keep that for about 2 years.
