"Olive, the other reindeer, used to laugh and call him names..."

Heard on the radio the other day they are putting a new word in the Merriam-Webster dictionary this year for misheard lyrics - "mondegreens".
The term was first coined in 1954(!) by a writer in Harper's Magazine. Her essay described how when she was young, she misheard a line in the first part of an old ballad.
She remembered it this way:
Ye Highlands and ye Lowlands
Oh, where hae ye been?
They hae slain the Earl Amurray
And Lady Mondegreen.
The last line was actually "And laid him on the green".
