Have you registered your copy of mIRC? I haven't, and it's one of the very few peices of software that I consider registering for. Maybe i'll do it this week.

LMAO yeah that about sums it up. I dunno what's good these days, I stopped using IRC several years ago, but back then mIRC was about the bottom of the pile, even compared to other (free) windows IRC clients.

I actually have liscenses for several pieces of shareware I think are good and worthy of paying for, mIRC is far and away not one of them.

Hell xircon is better :p

WTF is kthxbye?

IamC and Pirch were both better than mIRC. BitchX, irssi, and epoch are the better ones on *nix. BitchX even has a Windows port.

Why use mIRC, it's not opensource or even freeware. If you have cygwin installed or use some kind of Unix, then use epic or ninja. These are very good text-based irc clients. EPIC is very easy to script, so you can get the max of your irc client. Both of them supports multiple server connections which is nice :)

If you should decide to try epic then also download the splitfire script, as it improved the daily work with epic a lot.
