mIRC over a proxy server: How????

Ok, I need to get mIRC running but I am behind a proxy server running off another computer. I need like step by step how to get EVERYTHING working.

The proxy server right now is running on a Win2k Advanced machine, I can get mIRC to connect, but the DCC sends / gets don't work.

Anybody here that can help me?
