Mirage over the water?

Watched the sun set as it poked through cloud cover before melting into the graveyard of the Atlantic (off the Carolinas) tonight. :D

It almost looks like it is boiling the water making clouds in front of it! :Q

I thought I would see a green flash (as this would've been good conditions for it) but nope. Clouds obscured the final event. :(

Still makes you stop and take a look at the beautiful things of nature that we often take for granted in our busy lives. :)

Awww, I came into the thread hoping to see a green flash pic.

I've been looking for years and have yet to see one. :(

When conditions are good for such events by the time the sun sets there's something in the way. :Q

About 120 miles east of Charleston, SC.

Of course the best sunsets occur in November. In the wee hours of the morning the Leonids come out. :D
