MIRACLE - New Creative SB Live drivers - Feedback

I just saw over at Activewin.com that Creative has released new drivers. Feedback would be welcomed.

Audio HQ
Surround Mixer
PlayCenter 3 (version 3.02.52)
Recorder (version 2.00.31)
MiniDisc Center (version 1.01.15)
Remote Center (version 1.40.26)

SBLive driver pack 50Mb

Drivers only 25Mb

Important: Those new drivers don't support Windows 9x. The download is split in several packages and work only with Windows 2000 and Windows XP. According to Creative, the new drivers resolve compatibility issues with Sound Blaster Live! products on Windows 2000 and Windows XP

i just installed them and now i dont have sound and my remote center does not work. i am going to try reinstalling them again. i hope it fixes itself, i dont feel like dealing with a hassle tonight

LOL, does that ever sound like Creative..~! Was gonna mention this to my brother - but instead I won't :disgust:

Installed on my XP rig..no issues upgrading at all. Tested a DVD High preset capture...no dropped frames, perfect sync audio/video. Seem at least equal to the compaq set, thanks Nic!

Nice link, thanks.

Downloaded, but I'll probably test them tomorrow. I don't feel like resolving any hassles should any problems surface.

No problems with the driver set besides the fact that sound volume seems CONSIDERABLY quieter then it was with the previous drivers.
That's no big deal for me though as I had the sound volume turned almost all the way down as it was.
Worked perfectly and sounded pretty much the same in all the tests I ran.

Am i only one not liking these drivers? I downloaded and installed them on my Abit BP6 with Dual Celeron 366@500, and with these drivers installed it's not stable when overclocked, but older drivers, no probs.

Looks like they're not working for me! 🙁

I'm not sure if these drivers made it to the Windows update for WinXP. But I did take the ones released on WinXP's update area and they may be the same. So far, so good. No lockups (yet) and things seem to be generally working.

I had to do a reinstall of XP and used these drivers. Everything works great, except XP doesn't recognize one of the devices. I wish I knew one. 🙁

I had a problem with the old drivers hanging up XP when I would shutdown. I downloaded the new drivers last night and the problem seems to gone. 🙂

Have a look in device manager or System information, you should be able to find out which one especially if you know what devices are connected ,just check and make sure they are all listed.

Okay, anyone else having this problem:

I downloaded the livepack, I can install the player 2.0, but for the life of me, the drvpack does not install.
The HD light flashes briefly, but then nothing happens.

When I try to install the recorder, it proceeds to tell me that I need to upgrade the drivers.

Any help appreciated!!!!

I spaced. The multimedia device that wasn't being recognized was the on-board sound (EPoX 8kha+). 😱 I reinstalled it, disabled it, and now all is well. 🙂

Figured it out. For some reason, the SBLive package I downloaded was not fully intact... I downloaded the drivers alone, and all is well now.

Thanks for the heads up!

Not sure why people seem to have so many problems with SBLive cards - I've never had any trouble with mulitple systems using them?

Then again Win98SE was the most unstable POS for me and WinME was the best 😉 (I guess I'm "special")

Now I'm running XP though and all is fine so far 😉
