I just purchased a mio c310x at Staples for $168 shipped. I bought the $30 off $150 coupon from eBay and phone PM'd to Frys.com ($189). The lady charged me $17 for shipping due to Frys.com price match (?? Fry's has free shipping on the c310x so wtf?), but she reduced the price another 10% because Frys does 110% price matching vs local competitors. Total to my door is $168 (no in-store pickup allowed).

There might be ways to get slightly better prices but this is what I chose to do. Hope it helps.

EDIT: Mio C310x Link

Also wanted to say that this beast is hackable to run more up to date mapping apps like TomTom Navigator 6 in addition to media players, etc. See Mini FAQ for unlocked C310x for more info.

I have one, and they're old. 02/2005

An update is in the works however, and for what it's worth, the ones they got are good. If you live around an area that had a boom of recent construction, might just want to double check another map before trusting the unit.

The maps in my c310x (purchased at Fry's a couple of weeks ago) are dated 11/06 - hopefully the stock at Staples has the newer version.

You still have the 02/2005 maps. The CD is just labeled 11/06.

This unit is now $300 at Staples. I think they raised the price back up to it's normal level because they are going to have the Mio C220 on sale starting Sunday for $200.

I'm not talking about the CD - it hasn't been out of the box. But the info on the device may be the software revision date instead of the map revision date.

It still has the 02/05 maps. There aren't any newer ones out yet. This has been discussed on the Mio forums.

Thanks (I was editing my post when you provided this info). I'll take a look at the forum (?) to see if there's a revision on the horizon. In any event, I'm not finding many problems with whatever maps are on the unit, even in a city with constant major construction.

Do you have any link to some info on the C220 for $200 at Staples? Is that in the upcoming ad?
