Open the Mexican border to anyone who wants to come through and work. Issue a picture ID(so we know who comes through) and a social security NO.(so they can work for equal wages and their employer has to collect and PAY taxes.

Legal protection for Mexicans working in this country.
Coyoties no longer preying on the desperate.
Criminals no longer able to hide in the crowds. Or using illegals for drug mules.

Now your only objections can be racist, the same ones used when the Irish came, when the Italians came, when the Jews came, and when all the other Mongrel people came.

Why not? If they are here to work and pay taxes and are not criminals the more the merrier. (100 million is a huge exageration though)

China just gets bigger, why not get the US stronger as a good chunk of our mainly white baby boomer workforce grows into retirement age?

It is going to have to be done sooner or later, Granted this would take a total reworking of urban planning and much cleaner energy.

I am pretty sure just about every future plan I have read about how the 21st century is going to have to be to keep our heads above water against the rising asian economy in the next 50 years involves integrating mexican migrant workers and giving them a chance to move "up" on the economic ladder.

Reality: weathier people/familys tend to have LESS children, whites on a whole have it better off then new americans thus are not having as many children, our country depends on large influx of "new blood" to constantly move upward to settle into the "melting pot".
That is just the way it is, trying to go against it I see no other arguement then racism or fear of whites not being a majority against the future.

The old white-favoring quota laws have to go, our neighbors should be welcomed and given the chance to escape from horrible poverty. The problem isn't with the immigrants, who are doing what they believe they have to do, but with the system and the people who make it possible.

The united states has long billed itself as the "land of opportunity." It's hardly surprising that people will do almost anything for a chance at that opportunity.

With the average wage in Mexico $150 a month or so I think you are absolutety crazy in thinking we wouldn't have a vast flood of people coming here driving wages to the ground, and driving unemployment through the roof. And don't give me the racist crap since my wife is a Mexican immigrant......

Problem is you would still have a sub-class,

They would not over time blend in to be fellow americans and stick together in there neighborhoods as kinda outcasts, defeating the whole "melting pot" aspect of american culture that has helped hold together such a multi-cultural country for so long.

(And that aspect is not a easy thing to maintain, many countries have big problems with 2 or more cultures that tend to get irked at each other from time to time and governments tend to get overthrown.)

We all must move upwardly together or we shall fail as a country. Yet we must always have new citizens since we are so wealthy (wealthy people tend to not breed as much), plus we need to keep up with growing countries in the east, its a tough balance.

We are actually pretty lucky we have so many industrious people with cultures not so unlike ours right across our southern border willing to help us in our great experiment of these united states, bring em in, the good ones, and get them working. Time is wasting imo as china and asia grow more every day.

We let everyone and their mother in from europe even though the nay-sayers said it would screw labor and wages, we know what makes america strong and it is our oppurtunity that attracts workers willing to make something of themselves, china does not have that advantage we have. We should use that, not squander it.

How many H visas went unfilled last year? How many illegal immergrants were there last year. If the number of unfilled visas was more then the number of illegal immergrants you might have a point. Of courses there were no unfilled H visas last year and there were illegal immergration last year then the people could not have come here legally using H visas.

Well there does need to be otherwise they can't all immigrate legally now can they.

You can't say that 2 million people should come here leagally when there is a limit on 1 million people coming here legally that just doesn't make sense. You can say they shouldn't have come but don't try and pretend that they could come legally if they choose to.

The Mexicans are out to steal from me. I have to monitor my social security number and the social security numbers of my 2, 7, and 8 year old children. Why? Because there are a large number of illegal Mexicans in this country that need those numbers for government services, and to get credit cards, cell phones, etc.

I'm curious, because on one side you are advocating the free flow of unchecked immigration, yet you say you are 100% for limiting entry to criminals and the sick. On another thread, you also agreed with me that laws against employing illigal immigrants should be enforced. That leads me to believe that you don't think illegal immigrants should be here.

Some of those hijackers WERE NOT IN THE COUNTRY LEGALLY.

Had the government enforced laws already on the books, those bastards would have been removed from the country. We don't need the Patriotic Act to secure our borders; we need the government to stop bending to the will of the illegals and start enforcing the laws.
