Minolta 1350W laser printer for $100 shipped

Yea that is why I was asking about if you could refill this one or not? The cartridge is as much as the printer, and I print about 4000 pages a month. . .

I teach and do some other stuff. Right now I use a Lexmark printer that I have refilled 10 million times (really cheap when you use your own syringe and buy empty cartridges). . .

I was thinking about going laser - but it won't make sense unless I can refill the toner. . .

I just got this printer and it's very nice. Looks nice, sturdy looking, and prints very fast. Makes our HP and panasonic lasers at work look doggy.
The starter cartridge it comes with is good for 1500 sheets which should last me till xmas.

🙂

"Can anyone comment on whether you can refill the toner in this printer easily?"

I have this printer since it came out and yes you can refill. Much cheaper than new!

I got this printer a month or so ago and it's great for a personal laser. Highly recommended, despite being loud when printing and warming up.

You could've had this for $8 AR if you had bought it a couple of weeks ago at OM and then went back and PM'd to Staples this week. See FW for details, search for Minolta.

Biggest gripe from everyone is that if you don't add toner every 200 pages then you're stuck buying an expensive (chipped) OEM cart, since the printer goes into some cra*ppy cleaning mode when toner runs out.

hm yeah $100 nr is good for a 21ppm laser, but the stuff about noise, and especially the super expensive toner turns me off to this machine. I've been waiting forever for another good hp1012 deal, and I think I'll keep waiting. I'm dying for a laser printer but I want to get one I'll really be happy with. my roommate had a 1012 and it was amazing: quiet, almost instant printing and cheap toner.

Maybe,

But who the heck wants to rebate this, pm that, dance on one's head and hope for rain? I'd rather spend "x" and not have to mess with all that crap and I doubt I'm alone... 😉

Well I am student and have taken some very printer intensive accounting classes and let me be the first to tell you that after a full year of decent usage (I'd say its been maybe ~1500 pages) the toner is still going strong. Nothing beats the crispness and reliability of laser, expecially this one (I'm comparing it to the M1250).

My only gripe about the 1250 is the paper trays are flimsy. Other than that I know I have a great printer that I could get another cartridge for ~40 bucks off ebay.

Great Printer !!!
