Breakdown of Events:
1) Minnesota State Representative John Thompson gets pulled over for a traffic stop. Officer cites that he was driving erratically (speeding, I presume?) and didn't have a front license plate - which is required in the state.
2) Starts off the conversation with "I'm a state representative, if that makes a difference" lol
4) Cop goes back, runs information, gives him a citation.
3) He publicly calls he was racially profiled - with public statements to calls for justice and release of body cam footage: https://kstp.com/politics/minnesota...legal-opinion-on-body-camera-release/6169277/
4) Cops gladly provide body cam footage
5) ????
6) Hilarity Ensues.

He provided a Wisconsin license to the officer that stopped him. The officer then ran his information, and found his Minnesota license was suspended - because he wasn't paying child support. Lovely.

Suffice it to say - he committed an illegal act - because he either lied that he is living in Minnesota as a state rep (required to have the role) - or he lied to Wisconsin that he lived there for his license. He also voted in Minnesota - so if doesn't live in Minnesota - that means he illegally voted as well.

You just gotta especially love the "I'm a state representative part" - it falls perfectly in line with his then follow-up of claiming racism... He wants (say it with me now).... SPECIAL TREATMENT. Not NORMAL treatment. Not EQUAL treatment. SPECIAL Treatment.

As an added bonus - aside from not paying child support, he also has a history of domestic violence with his wife, as well as exposing himself to children. What a lovely father figure. What amazing reps BLM folks are electing hahaha

Anyhow, full video that goes into more details:

Sounds like kind of a dirt bag.

I think your subject line says the opposite of what you intended. LOL

Your cult party leader is Donald Trump and you are talking about role models?

If any Democratic State representative does unethical things or breaks serious laws, I hope they pay the price. But please, spare us about role models. Your ilk have zero morals to begin with.

I can only imagine the little tiny chubby you got at the chance to talk shit about a black dude.

As far as racial profiling, according to one of the extremely rare black politicians of the KKK/GQP/CONFEDERATE FLAG FOREVER party, Sen Tim Scott, racial profiling by the police is just normalized in the black community:

"Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina – who is the only African-American Republican in U.S. Senate – delivered an emotional floor speech Wednesday about the unfair police scrutiny he has faced over his life because he is a black man.
“In the course of one year, I’ve been stopped seven times by law enforcement,” Scott said. “Not four, not five, not six, but seven times in one year as an elected official.”
The speech was the second of three the conservative first-term senator is delivering this week related to the fatal shootings of two African-American men by white police officers and the sniper attack that killed five Dallas police officers by a black man angry over police mistreatment of African-Americans.
Scott described this speech as “the most difficult because it is the most personal.”
“In many cities and towns across America, there is a deep divide between the black community and law enforcement. A trust gap, a tension that has been growing for decades. And as a family, one American family, we cannot ignore these issues,” Scott said."

Just curious, but why was the mic muted at the beginning, or the audio removed if everything was on the up and up as you imply? Shouldn't the audio start the moment he turned the camera on, including any video inside the police car, and not until after he first approached and confronted him (a lot can be said in a few seconds that sets the stage on what the real intent was)? Also, how can you say he started off the conversation with "I'm a state representative" when his first words are muted/deleted and you have no way of knowing what was said? (hell, it didn't even come up until he explained he didn't drive off like a bat out of hell, which means he didn't start off the conversation by saying he was as state representative, so once again, you lied)

I don't know the answer to your first question - the initial part of the audio isn't there, I would say it amounts to a time period of about 1 sentence from both sides before audio comes into the video. I'm sure there is a transcript out there if you really feel it is vitally important.

To your 2nd point - the "I'm a state representative" was a part of the recorded part. You can clearly hear it.

Hey fuck nut, you said he started off the conversation with that.. not that it was part of the conversation. It was never a question if he said it, or not. "The fact is, you said he started off the conversation with saying that he was a state representative, which is false! Hell, most police, and most government officials include such information during the discussion with police officer if they get pulled over..

Thanks for clearing it up that you know you are lied, and your only recourse is to throw out an insult.. hahaha.. It didn't come near the beginning of the original conversation at all, it came towards the end... in fact, all he did after saying that, was answer the question about having a out of state license.. Then the police officer walked back to his car..

The fact that you lie and get called out for it, is not a burn. Hell, you can't even hear the beginning of the conversation and you are still sticking with your lie... (This whole topic by you is just a manipulation and a lie anyhow, just trying to make something out of nothing).

lol you have a severe mental disorder kid. I gave you a calm and cool reply to your questions. You then immediately say this moronically retarded "Gotcha" statement and start off with "hey fuck nut" and proceed to say I'm the one who throws out insults?

Anyway, I can see you're too retarded to participate in this conversation since you're worried about if he started with a statement in the very first sentence, or if it was 2 sentences later.

Be thankful you don't have McConnel in your state. Or Paul for that matter.

You calm and cool reply was an insult in itself because you didn't admit your mistake. But rather, you tried to justify your error by changing what you said to mean something entirely different. And you continue to double down on the lie. Hence why I called you a fuck nut, which fits perfect because you think people can't see thru your crap.

As for having a discussion, I already pointed out the problem with the topic of this discussion, which by your own title is he claimed racial profiling, which you have Nothing that argues that it wasn't. THe video YOU gave has nothing that indicates anything either way specially when the relievent part is missing (the beginning audio), Hence a manipulative topic that is a lie in itself that used to argue about his residency. Which is a legitimate discussion, but not what your topic is about.

You want to have a legitimate discussion about his residency, start a the topic on that, not the accusation of racial profiling.

While I am thankful for that I believe both of the representatives you mentioned are Federal representatives not State representatives. This thread is about a scummy State representative though.

While true, the swap starts at the bottom and is still present at the top.

Rep John Thompson should resign, that much is clear. You can't run for Minnesota office and claim Wisconsin residency. Secondly we should not be putting people with domestic abuse histories and a history of skipping child support payments into office. Both the Governor and Democratic party chair in MN have called for Thompson's resignation. Good for the Democrats for taking action and policing bad behavior in their own party, unlike the Republicans who seem to not only condone but in some cases encourage salacious behavior from their reps.

If John Thompson were white the OP would have been comfortable with him attacking the cop.

After all, blue lives right? Depending on the other actor.

I shed a tear
