Minnesota, Speed Signs that tell you how fast you are going

I was wondering that too.

In MN I have seen ones that the number just starts flashing if you are over the speed limit.

But I have also seen what looked to be like a camera flash when a speeding truck drove by next to me. It looked like a quick strobe similar to the flashes on newer cameras. My buddy and I were wondering if we just got our picture taken. Could have been a fluke, however.

Wouldn't a cop actually have to witness you speeding to give you a ticket? don't they take into consideration all the factors involved? for example, if someone had a blowout and you had to gun it to not wreck, a cop witnessing that wouldn't give you a ticket...

Are you one of those people who keeps your camera's flash on all the time? Have you ever seen a flash from a traffic camera?
Yep, all the time. They always flash very bright here, even in the middle of the day. That's how you can tell when someone gets popped.

I saw one of these on the side of the Hume Highway near Canberra a few weeks ago while some repair work was being done...my speedo read 61km/h the sign read 79km/h as I wizzed passed...I always wondered why when sitting on the 110km/h speed limit for NSW I would fly past other cars...now I know, It also explains why coppers seem to be drawn to my car like flies to sh!t.

Shens. There's no way there's an 18 KM/H difference. 4 I could believe, 6 and I would be highly skeptical, but 18 is absurd and whoever did repairs or modifications on your car could probably get slapped into the slammer.

nah...the electronic dash setup in the 86 Ford Falcon S sedan are dodgy as hell, even the fuel gauge, oil pressure, voltage and temp gauge(all electronic 80's style video game crap) are dodgy, it has left me sitting on the side of the road once or twice with no fuel despite the gauge read half full or full. If only it worked like the rest of the car...but I supose I'm not helping it any it is calibrated for 14inch wheels(factory standard issue ER70 tyres) and I have 19inch alloys with 35 series tyres on them...not to mention the different diff ratio isn't helping (2.77:1 standard)which I just changed to a 3.25:1...so I guess it does need a bit of calibrating....but It really isn't an issue I don't pay to much attention to the speedo...only the tacho(Autometer FTW)

The only thing I am having a hard time believing is that the photoblocker spray is "good for life". Maybe if you never ever wash your license plate... but with the magnitude of bugs n crap I run into if I dont brush off my plate every once in a while then the cops would give me a ticket as the bug guts would just collect and block visibility of my plate

where the hell do you drive? the rainforest?

Other than the red light cams, I do not believe any of the little trailer things that they drop around that show your speed have cameras.

Im pritty sure they dont take your picture, there was always one on the side of the road when going to high school a few years back. Would always drive 20+ mph (60 in a 40)over and never got a speeding ticket from one.
