Any places I should visit, things I should see while I'm there for a few days? Any good places to eat late night? I'm gonna be getting there about 10pm with the GF.

Mall of America is always fun to go to for awhile, just to people watch. Twins game on Saturday if you care for it. Manny's or Murray's if you wanna really spend money on a good place to eat ($50-100+ per steak). There is a bunch of clubs if you are into that, Valentino's is the best in the cities imo, I hear Anex is good too, avoid Elixir at all costs that place is a fucking hole.

Fogo De Chao Churrascaria. It is a Brazilian restaurant in downtown Minneapolis. Think meat tho. Every kind & prepared everyway constantly offered on skewers, so go very hungry AND it is not cheap. Dress is causal, blue jeans are good.

Then there is the Twins

If you like beer I recommend the Happy Gnome in St. Paul. Dinner will run you about $30 per person.

For the absolute best steaks in the country, Manny's in the Foshay tower. Best subs in the country are at Big10 on Washington Ave in the University of Minnesota campus. Whole ham, everything on it, with crisscut fries.

If you want to see where Prince got his start and listen to some smaller bands or a cool venue, hit First Avenue.

Late at night = Hong Kong Noodles or Village Wok, but I prefer HK Noodles. Cheap and good. And you have to try a jucy lucy, found at various places around, but the big two are Matt's Bar and 5-8 Bar on Cedar near the airport. You can then head up to Minnehaha Falls if you wanna see the fall colors. Downtown Minneapolis is always full of people on the weekends. Then you can go see 100 pretty girls and 1 ugly one at the Vu just offa 1st ave.

I actually think Capitol Grille is better than either.

OP, at this moment the coolest late dinner spot in the Twin Cities is Bar La Grassa. Make a reservation, go, and thank me later!

Sorry, I have to strongly disagree.

I have a GC right across 42nd St from me, I've been there dozens of times (as well as Stamford, Vegas, Orlando, Arizona, Chicago...etc). I've also been to Peter Lugers, Sparks (ate right next to Boomer Esiason), Prime Quarter, Ben and Jacks, Rare, Smith and Wollensky, and numerous other steak places in NYC.

None, absolutely none, compare to Mannys. The decor may be lacking (as it is in PLs and others) but the steaks are far better the half dozen times I've been there. Pittsburgh Blue is Ok, a lower priced version of Mannys.

Chain steak places blow, CG is no exception, Darden FTMFL.

Only one that is OK in my book is Texas Roadhouse, especially when you consider everything else (price, peanuts, bread...etc).
