people turned to the nazis because the nazis promised jobs when everyone else was promising austerity to appease the economy after it took a giant dump in 1929.

The point is, these aren't even good jobs. These are summer jobs for high-school teens, other transient types of jobs. Mexican illegals get paid cash, and are not reported, obviously.

What it does screw up is basic economics, and supply and demand. It sets a low minimum floor, where none should exist. If a billion people want or need to work at McDonalds, they should be able to work at McDonalds, for the wage McDonald's is willing to pay.

Anything else, is simply Government screwing around with Economics...

And we all know how well Government screws around with things.

Not only that but their ideology calls for the destruction of government or the minimizing it.

Why anyone would support a politician who wants to see government broken is beyond me (I'm not referring to those that want to break government). It's really no surprise that government is broken, it's just surprising that people support those that are breaking it and complaining about it at the same time.

Republicans love to tell us how government is broken while they are running for office and then doing everything they can to break it once and for all if they get elected.

I watched the video, read the transcript. Didn't see or hear anything about a master plan. I did note that one of the Koch brothers said welfare for the rich and cronyism needed to end.
Sounded like a bunch of successful talking about what they'ed like to see in the future to me.

Edit: I also didn't hear any mention of an NDA being signed, or a request that the event not be recorded. It was in fact held at a hotel and many people knew about it. So the tapes might not be all that secret.

Secret Tapes Reveal Koch Bros Master Plan To Minimize Wages & Maximize Profits

Charles Kock said:
To truely help the poor and the economy we have to eliminate cronyism. We have to eliminate welfare for the rich.

:hmm:

Can you point to their exact strategy to minimize wages? I read the transcripts and didn't see any 'master plan' for that

Nothing that I read in there was devious or underhanded or really all that secret. Most of it was about how to market which I am sure happens no where else

Wait, so people who pay a lot of wages want to reduce how much they pay in wages? Shocking.

The problem with the Koch brothers is that they adhere to an understanding of economics that's been pretty conclusively proven false in recent years and they spend an incredible amount of money promoting it. Who cares if they want to make more money? Didn't we already know that?

Then they should wholly support amnesty and open borders. Keep that cheap labor pool nice and filled up so that rewards of labor can get skimmed away and if anyone doesn't like it,.. oh, low wage replacement right there, see ya.

Wonder what they and Obama talk about behind closed doors.

Not a fan of the Koch Bros, but at least it's a devil a you know situation. They are crony capitalists via manipulating markets away from free, they are allowed to slip by many under the accepted view of capitalism and free markets that drives our eCONomy.

This.

I genuinely went in hoping to see something shocking that would make me realize the Koch haters were right, and that these were in fact mustache twirling supervillains.

Nope. Dave's a moron.

I am confused at why this is a revelation. Every company (at least, every one that wants to remain in business) wants to pay the least amount for the most amount of work.

Their master plan is to run their business in an effective manner? Damn, you guys sure got them! Caught 'em red handed! No self respecting liberal would expect any company they ran to turn a profit. They would pay their government enforced, all minority work force such livable wages, they would go out of business in a month!

That appears to be the case. Big sensational headline, claims of evil villains planing to ruin the world, secret tapes gathered by heroic operatives risking it all to save the human race.

Real story, bunch of rich guys having dinner and the waiter left his iphone on.

Minimize the wage is not fair fro the workers. Govt should increase it.

lol, what? you contradict yourself. Even if the government increases it, there's still a minimum. Think before you post.

Oh, and if that's truly what the Koch brothers said (and I'm doubting it based on the OP), then so what. The great thing about this country is I'm not forced to work for them and neither are the thousands of employees that work for their companies.

What does ramen top Debbie Wasserman Schultz have to say about this? Anything? She's the leader of the smear campaigns.

Shhh. Waking raving loons from their emorage-fests can be hazardous to their already fragile mental health. Don't bring up reality, just let them rage.

It's mostly just Dave, his fear of successful Republicans has reached the level of a an actual phobia.
