Alright, so everyone should go to school and get a 50k+ job and not do anything until then.

So who's gonna bag groceries? Take our order at McDonalds? Stock the shelves at the hardware store? etc

If you earn to little to make a living you start looking for other "options" to make a living. If the wealthiest country in the world can't afford to pay more than $5 as a minimum wage, then it doesn't seem wealthy to me.

This guy is a troll.

He creates these cut and paste threads and then never comes back to them.

Minimum wage, Social Security, and other Government Regulations or Taxes are simply Government exercising control over our lives. Control, that our founding fathers never imagined.

Would you benefit if people worked for $2.50/hour and were off the Government payroll?

It the option is to work hard for unlivable wages and crime, which do you think is often chosen?
lol, unliveable wages.

Are you seriously arguing having a job, versus a life of crime?

Maybe you should add in defrauding the Government to your life of crime.

Then you are A #1 Citizen... living off the teat of Government, committing crimes, rather than working.

Two things:

1. Minimum wage laws effect so few people that they are hardly worth talking about.

2. The real reason Democrat push for increases to said laws is because it helps their union buddies bargain for higher wages. Especially since so many union contracts have complicated wage structures that essentially guarantee that a 50 cent raise to the lowest rate will require a 50 raise for everyone.

Minimum Wage laws are first and foremost a demand by Government for control of the populace. They absolutely have meaning, as they are law, and they preclude many people from finding jobs.

I don't think some of you have met the proud but unemployed in this world.

There are many proud, but unemployed, or underemployed people, that are willing to work, but cannot find jobs due to the minimum wage.
