Absent really extreme frame rate requirements, above 1080. You could perhaps make a case for 4k but if you like turning everything on etc then fine in between too.

    Best resolution? 2560x1440 144-165hz+ with G Sync

If the game isn't too demanding you can max it out and enjoy high framerates. If it is demanding, you should be able to still get 60fps max settings unless the game is horribly optimized or has BS max settings like infinite draw distance or "Hyper" settings that no one can notice.

Lots of room to tweak to your preferences here too. Turn down a few settings in demanding games if you like high framerate. Or crank up super sampling AA to get a super sharp picture on less demanding games where you value IQ over framerate.

240P is a good starting point, at least you get an image.

    I agree. I have a 1080Ti with a 1440p 144Hz monitor and it's a great match. I'm hoping the 120hz 4K monitors come soon though.

2560x1440 high refresh with G-SYNC or 3440x1440 high refresh with G-SYNC I feel is the sweet spot.
