Minimalist/lightweight shoes

So I'm looking at shoes like the NB MT101, NB Minimus Life, and Merrell Trail/True Glove - any others that you might suggest? I'm looking for something that I can wear on the road while I'm setting up events but then I can also wear to the local Crossfit box or go for a run in. I have two pairs of Vibram Fivefingers that I'll probably travel (well, one pair) with but I don't always feel safe setting up heavy equipment in those.

Thanks. 🙂

Check out Salomon and Inov-8, they make great lightweight shoes. But the NB MT101 is my fave and my next trail running shoe.

I was at REI this weekend and checked out the Merrell Trail Glove. If you like VFFs, the Trail Glove is a VFF without the fingers.

If you're a REI member, til May 30th, you can use the 20% off coupon on it.

I wear Brooks Mach 12 spikeless track shoes for CrossFitting. They are thin and flat enough to be a pretty minimalist shoe but still offer some protection.

Yeah, one of the reasons the Merrell is on my list is because of the 20% off. As for the Inov-8's, as much as I drink the Crossfit koolaid, I hate buying shoes without trying them on first.

Thanks all for the responses, it'll give me plenty to work with.

I'm the same way. I'll go to a LRS and try shoes on and then buy them online half of the time. I only buy local when they make me a good deal.
