Mini-Van 1 Compact 0 Scrum Awesome (Bmore - Fells Point Fight and Mini-Van Flight)

Needs more context. The fact that this was apparently during a period of at least modest traffic (the giant line of cars waiting behind them), and being that it seems a little unlikely that a man-on-man street fight would give a participant the opportunity to reach a parked car, turning it on, and attempt to flee, it seems possible that the minivan was in the right.

EDIT: Oh, and the fact that Baltimore is a BLM hotspot.

The way I saw it the guy in the minivan was cornered by a car going the wrong way and found his way out the way he did.

A 27-year-old woman is in serious but stable condition with multiple injuries after she was struck by a minivan leaving a Fells Point Bar.
Police arrested Orlando Redd of Parkville a few blocks away from the 700 block of S. Broadway where the dramatic hit and run took place just after 2 a.m.
The incident, captured on video, shows a man identified as Redd, ramming a minivan into a stopped car on S. Broadway then backing up and driving down the sidewalk slamming into cars, buildings and eventually the female victim.
Police said Redd was fleeing an assault that began inside a bar. It appeared he was under the influence of alcohol when he got behind the wheel of the minivan, police said.
A triple shooting at a Fells Point bar that happened blocks away from the hit and run is unrelated, police said.
Police spokesman, T.J. Smith said Redd is charged with malicious destruction of property and is facing multiple assault and endangerment charges. Additional charges are pending.

anandtech says justified because he was fleeing an assault?

So he put a innocent in critical condition to flee. Is this still legal?

Dude this is Fells Point, bars, hipsters and college students. Making this racist is just showing your knee jerk reaction.

From the start of the video, all I can see is a van attempting to escape with a bunch of blurry people trying to get a guy out of the van, with a parked car blocking traffic. Blocking traffic is a common method used by protesters, and violent mob action a common punishment for those that defy their "protests". Now that the story has been posted, it looks like just another drunk piece of shit, so yeah he probably deserved to be dragged out of his van and beaten.

Sounds like a lovely area

If I were truly innocent and just being randomly mob attacked while inside my car I'd be aiming for the attackers, not random people and objects on the sidewalk.
