Sorry its taken me so long to reply to this! Greetings everyone that I dont know!

Not gunna be able to make it im afraid. I have Tobys 21st birthday to attend in reading.

Determined to make it to one of these as i'm a LAN party virgin and just recently bought some new computer bits in order to not be tooo embarressed when I actually do turn up. ho hum.. such a waste! (oh well, back to UT2K3!)

Damn ,The_One has had some sort of family trouble ,he will be in Devon on the 16th ,he suggested the 23rd instead.

Hi guys - apologies time

Reasons i've not posted / replied to party invites :-

a) I've STILL got this god damn bilharzia, back down to the Tropical Disease centre to have my third round of treatment which might actually kill the little buggers.

b) In august while i was at work, after getting an ear full from my so called boss ( i mean who spends 1 1/4 hours on the phone to her best mate talking about firemen, and then shouts at the 3rd senior member of staff for forgetting to turn off his mobile !) when i encounter what is know around these parts as a 'smackhead' stealing tubs of Hagen Dazs. Now this guy is putting them down his trousers so obv i', not gonna want them back, but i politely asked him to stop taking our ice cream. He lots it, threw boxes of sweets at me, i lost it and went out from behind the counter, went to throw him out, he pulled a needle out of his pocket and threatened to 'stick me with it', i chased him out of the shop in a blind fury, and handed my notice in 1/2 an hour later. Hence no money

c) Since i now have no money, i'm selling anything that doesn't move, including (GASP) my computer. So now i'm using a dual P166 (not even MMX !) with 64 Mb of ram and a 1 gig HD on Win 2K, so i can only use it when i have at least 10 minutes to wait for it to boot (seriously).

So, sorry about that guys - don't mean to moan, just let u know i haven't forgotten about you all. And, in the spirit of this team, i'll be donating my 9 months worth of Porivo Peer payments into the Paypal account for ENTERPRISE (a total of 20$) . Since i'm a Trek virgin i'd best watch at least one episode so that i can keep up with all you guys ! Anyway the top and bottom of it is that i won't be able to come on the 30th, 1/2 cos i can't afford the petrol and 1/2 cos a game on this steam powered beast ?!? Some people add a handle to their case to let them attend such soirees, i affix a goddamn crane Anyway, let me know how it goes - pics ! I'm heading down to london on monday / a week on tuesday for hospital stuff, let me know if i'm going past anyones house Cheers lads !

Re your 166 with Win2k ,wouldn't you be better off using Win98se with the Lite patch & Cacheman? ,would use a lot less RAM ,I find that runs fine on old PC's

Re a PC for gaming ,I have a spare one you could borrow at any future LAN parties,no probs,its AGP card is old but it'll run most modern games at 800x600 (see 'my fleet' link for details) ,
I also have plenty of Star Trek vids we could watch too

yeah assim, tell me bout it Its worms actually matey, which makes it all the worse As for the OS question, i'm thinking the same thing, 98SE setup with 98Lite, but i'm not entirely sure about Cacheman - i gather it manages ur cache - more info pls ? Only problem with that being that i wouldn't be using the 2nd p166 ...

As for the trekky vids, u bring the vids, i'll bring the alcohol and beers, we'll have ourselves a time

Hi Guys,

Damn I keep missing these.. I dont think I will be able to make the 30th either if things go to plan. A close friend is planning on coming over from Dublin this saturday (shes a lap dancer believe it or not!! I'll get photos for thoose that dont believe!) so I have the choice between going out on the lash with a fit as stripper or going out on the lash playing games... hmmm..... tough choice!!

Assim, Sorry I know production has slowed (well, stopped..) recently. I've not been paying too much attention to whats going on with this one or the server.. I've started production again on main rig again just now, will look at the server tommorrow hopefully!
