mini rc helicopter ~$31

toyeast.com has a bunch of mini rc helicopters for 29$ to 31$. I don't have one but I'm tempted to get one. I've always wanted a rc helicopter and this is the cheapest one I've seen. It's not as functional as the 600$ ones I've been eyeing, but it's CHEAP! 🙂

i know its been posted on here b4..

😀

still vrey coo

===========
but what are the differences between the two?? is it the chargable deal??

Damn it! As if all the BitChar-G's I've ordered from TOYEAST aren't bad enough. I just managed to get that monkey off my back and now this. ....must.....resist........

I remember someone posting a link to a forum that had a guy who converted his micro rc car to be a plane. Anybody have that link? That's pretty cool too..

does this include everything? no need for special batteries?

is it like the mini rcs that charge off the base?

$22 shipping OOUCH?

anybody have a place to buy this locally US?

Unfortunately you have as much information as I do. It does seem like they do recharge off the base. I think 2 of them include the recharger.

Toyeast sux for customer service and shipping is a nightmare.

Try one of the US hobby stores such as www.hobbytron.net. They're taking orders for a 2 week ship date.

Shipping isn't too bad with toyeast. I ordered a few mini rc cars from them last year and they arrived fine and not too slowly. I sent 1 email about an order and got a prompt reply. I sent an email about a product and didn't get a reply..

Hobbytron has a nicer website, however the prices for those helicopters are also more expensive.

This is probobly better than the one my son got for his birthday a couple weeks ago. His was single channel controller so you are stuck with the direction the wind blows it. It is now in the corn field across the street. We have went on several search and destroy missions and come up empty handed. :frown:

The one we have did charge off of the base and would fly for about 2 minutes. It doesn't take that long to lose one. 🙂 I just looked at the link boiler posted. That is the one we had. I would not recomend it. We called the manufacturer about replacement copter and they wanted $50.

They sure look the same to me. They both charge off the base, squeeze the throttle to go up and down, ease off to descend and turn.

Boiler the one in the original post looks like it has a steering wheel on the controller. Kind of like the ones used on rc cars. It says 2 channel on the site. The one you posted clearly doesn't have the wheel. That is the one I have or had should I say. Also it doesn't say 2 channel radio anywhere that I can see.

Are these tethered? How long do they run for? (I'm guessing they're battery powered)

I can't find anything on these..

It is radio controlled. 2 Channels. I'm not sure if it give all the details in each item link, but if you check out the other color helicopters, it gives you more information.

Shipping is so high because they are in Hong Kong. Don't order these using "Surface Mail", that is by Boat and would take months!

Also keep in mind if you receive a defective product you're SOL unless you want to pay shipping back to Hong Kong.

The remote requires 6x AA batteries. The base requres 8x D batteries. The helicopter recharges from the base (thus depleating the D batteries) so you can use rechargable D batteries but you cannot charge directly from an A/C outlet.

Also:
For the first flight of the day, charge the Sky Patrol twice in a row before flying.
Flying time of 3 minutes when fully charged
Please note: the control method does not alllow for accurate left/right turning.
