I went to Wally World last night with my friend Tara and while we were in the toys section she wanted to check out some model cars...that's when I noticed those mini R/C cars that I've seen on the internet for like $30. They were $13! I think they're around $20 at most other competitive places in town. They take like 3 AA batteries for the transmitter and 3 AAA batteries for the charger that only takes 45 seconds to charge the little car....then it runs about 10 minutes. Everyone here at work has been coming by and borrowing it all day. Just a heads up.

This is only $7 hot, but that's $7 that can pay for batteries to run this little thing...
BTW, I'm in Chattanooga, TN. I'm not sure if they have them at every WalMart.

As with (almost) everything else in the world, there's this original, hi-quality version from Japan, and there's the cheap a$$ remakes from China.

Doubt what you've seen in Wally is the original ones (Bit Char-G).

I doubt these are the same (maybe close?) to the ones you are seeing online. I bought a TOMY BitCharG for $25 about a year ago, but it had a bit more than a car. Also the car charges on the remote itself, so you only need to carry the remote and car around.

The TOMY cars have interchangeable motors, chassis, "suspension", tires, wheels, gears, wings, hoods, and more. They are more of a custom car...

If Wally's stocking the same brand in all his stores, then that one's distributed by Hobbico, right next door to where I work. They keep a web page at http://www.microsizers.com. These appear to be made by Tomy, at least they have fully swappable parts like the Bit Char-G. Loads of fun, hard to control, about as big as a Matchbox car.

Couldnt find these at my local atlanta walmart..
what brand does wallymart have?

The rep in toys said he thought he had seen some in a glass type case?
IS that how they are packaged? Are they on the R/C isle along with all the
other large cars?
thanks

Alright...I went and found the package that I had thrown away. The brand is "Motor Works" which is produced by Planet Toys out of Sarasota, FL. This is a Chinese model and not a Japanese. I have to say from using it today I can't imagine getting too much better of a car for another $15. I'd personally rather have 2. :)

I picked a couple up this Morning.

I never had the Tomy one's, but these seem OK

they Have good range, are pretty quick(endless donuts),and have held up to plunging off the table and dog attacks very well.

They are a lot of fun.

Thanks for the Heads up.

Darn.. these must not be avail in Atlanta..
Haven't seen them at target or kmart either..

radio shack apparently has a 20$..
and a local hobby shop has a similar 19.99$ model with a round remote with red buttons..and red flip down to charge it.

Car bodies on 19.99 look fairly nice.. all are 1.1 or whatever and not replacable (engine/body,etc)

I saw 39.99 models at hobby shop that had many replacable parts and bodies and engines up to 3.x speed

I contact walmart cust service.. they are going to contact the store local to me in ATL, and
the store manager is going to check inventory and will see if he can locate this item
(in a 150 mile radius).. if its more than 20 miles from me, i aint drivin that far.

They asked for the UPC of the item.. can anyone who bought these find a box, and or possibly
scan the RECEIPT or just give me the upc code, and possibly sku # for walmart for this item?
(would it be different per each model? type?)
