Mini motard fun!

This is cool. Howerver, i think they would be better off putting a 50cc CRF engine in it...
Why you ask?
You can license it as a moped, and buy a 125cc engine of your own to put in it. Granted, e start and fuel injection are nice...
For 3k i would rather have a big dual sport to ride around town IMO..

9hp? Whew.
Bore out a DRZ if you want a cheap slightly faster supermoto to crash.
Can't believe after all these years the Japanese makers still refuse to make a proper 450cc+ supermoto for the street. KTM and all those other Euro brands and their limited supply network is all there is.
A CRFX supermoto for $8-9K would knock my socks off!

I love small bikes. When I lived in Italy I rode a gilera 125 that was light years ahead of anything in the US to this day in a small 125.

I miss my rz350 more than any other bike I have owned over the years. I also had a swapped ysr50 that was um...kinda lethal... Sold it off to someone alot crazier than I was.

I would rather ride something like this to work than a 125 or a 250 scooter unless its a older Vespa like my Rally 200 or my PE. The Rally was faster than a new vette in the 80s up to 80 mph.

Was it a 2-stroke?

it was amazing. My BIL that year gave me an expansion chamber for my birthday and we did 170kph on the autostrada!

If I could buy that bike now and drive it in the states for 5k I would....

The KK model that came out the next year was incredible so I was able to get an older one much cheaper in 90. My BIL kept it for me for years but finally needed the space about 6 years ago. After he got rid of it howerver he felt bad and gave me his 900SS to restore...Its still sitting in his garage waiting for me to ship it.

Like this?

Yeah I think it looks sweet.

I also just noticed the bike shown in the video isn't using the projector-style headlight used on the overseas model(MSX125). I appears the turn signals are different too, US is amber housing and overseas is clear housing with amber bulbs.

If that aprilia is available in the US im going to faint. I would have to do a bit of... um dieting before getting on that bike right now. I am a bit bigger than I was 20 years ago...

edit

looked at 2012 lineup and the RS4 125 is available in the US with a 4 stroke. merde.

Ya, it appears they switched motors recently, that sucks.
Damn you guys, I might have to go look at a bike this weekend. Freakin radial brakes on a 125, awesome!
I bet it'd be half that price in the US, everything always seems to be.

Can you ride a 9 horsepower bike on the freeway? Even more importantly, can you ride it uphill?

It looks like a fun machine, but nine pony's isn't a whole lot of push.

Heck I'll sell you my WR250X for $3500 and it would be a lot more fun.... FI and don't have to check the valves till 26,000 miles😉

Those little yamahas are alot of fun. Kawi has a KLX250sf as well.

Not really comparable to pit bikes like the grom though....
