This is one of those sealed-battery portable jumpstarters. It's smaller than the typical unit, roughly the size of a large lantern battery flashlight, complete with a halogen light and 12v DC accessory outlet. It's this unit:

I bought two at BJ's Wholesale (Sam's-type club) in Cary, NC. Other vendors on the web offer this unit for $70, normal retail $110. A similar unit is available elsewhere under the parent All-Start brand, but the "Winchester" model supposedly has a higher output battery, and is described on one site as 12AH sealed lead-acid, 900 peak amps. I like these because they're smaller than the typical jump-start package. Note, these don't come with built-in air compressors, invertors, etc.
