Two quick questions; how warm did the ssd and cpu get under full load and how large is the psu ?

I really don't think the 1080 version is worth it (cost/size). The 1070 is pretty border line but it is still easy to carry when traveling. At some point it just makes more sense to build a mini-itx.

Dunno about the SSD temp, but the CPU maxed out at 57C in benchmarking. The SSD is mounted underneath the motherboard, separate from the active thermal gear, so I don't think temp would be a big issue like in other super-compact setups. The PSU is large, about the size of the PSU for the red Iris Pro BRIX, a little smaller maybe. When I get back to my workshop I'll snap a pic if you want. As far as Mini-ITX goes, I wish they still sold the Corsair 380T...that, with a 4ghz i7 & the upcoming GTX1080 Ti, would be amazing:

There is a smilar case to the corsair; i forget how to spell the name but it has a b - it has a handle et all. Anyway for the psu the tag should give the power rating. My guess is around 150 or 200w. The ssd should have a temp readout. hwinfo is a program that hsould display it along with cpu and gpu.

Do you have an update on the zotac ?

Sorry yes, I can test now - didn't see a temp on the SSD, any other programs you recommend? Tried a few but none had a readout.

For the ssd hdtemp or sensor should provide the temp depending on model; if neither of those then smartctl -a. There was a review somewhere that suggested the ssd runs very hot because the machine can't ventilate the heat (hot here is 60c).
