Ok well i wanna buy a mini disc but i am told that the record time is the play time? please tell me this is not tru and if it is can some one tell me another alternative that lets me burn minidisc faster? With all the songs i got imma have to bee there for days....

Minidiscs are the greatest! But all except the newest models (called NetMD I think) record in "real time". Yes, it's a pain, but I find myself setting them up to record (you don't have to monitor it) whenever I have some extra time. The quality and form factor is worth the pain in the @ss factor, IMHO.

Head on over to Minidisc.org and dig around. The folks there will help you with your options.

Good Luck,

fraz

the only thing i would get is the apple ipod cux it looks spanking ! but the software for win has probs and i dont wanna go firewire....MOSTLY alll the others that have hds are ugly......and that memory stick stuff is not for me...i got gigs of music...

I was wondering this myself until I found out the same thing. I was dissapointed, but I don't do too much recording and I don't mind this method. Programs out there let you set it and forget it when recording. So unless you are one of those people constantly changing songs, maybe an mp3 player would be bettr for you. Plus I would think that changing songs is easier by just changing minidiscs (don't have to be near a PC)

So the time invested in recording, I guess is made up for when you are changing albums, etc on the go.

ok well can some one help me find a mp3 player? IT has to look some thing close to the ipod (well you get the ideaa)....archos is FOOOGLY.....and atleast like 3 gb of space.
