I haven't played Minesweeper since they took all the games out of our corporate builds.

I used to be pretty good at it too.

Dang it.... now I want to play it again.... lol

Its not shens. Beginner is really all luck. I've uploaded some movies of the world record times (though expert is down to 39 I think) and my 59/16 times here if anybody is interested. You need to download the TSCC codec thats there to watch the movies.

I've won minesweeper beginner in 1 second.

As soon as I clicked on one corner tile, the whole screen cleared.

No, if you clear out all of the non-mined spaces without marking any of the mined spaces the game will automatically mark them for you. If the game is set up perfectly you can "win" the game with only 1 click. If you play enough games you will eventually hit one that does this.
